Melissa R. Wilson was born January 14, 1971 in Seymour, Tennessee. She was the last child born to Benny Flynn and Myrtle Gaylan. She departed this life to join her heavenly Father on Tuesday, May 15, 2018. She was preceded in death by a brother, Jack Paul; parents, Benny Flynn and Myrtle Galyon.

“Missy”, as she was affectionately known, worked as a painter for Bob Rice Reality Company for nine years. She also worked for Mr. Alex LaBlanc as a painting supervisor. She enjoyed taking care of her family and her animals. She was a very strong woman and hard-worker, who loved her family and friends dearly.

Melissa leaves to cherish her life her partner of 17 years, Jimmy Moye; one sister, Teresa (Curtis) Ogle of Seymour, Tennessee; brother, Nathan Ogle; nieces: Amando Porton, Pamela Sharp, Tori Jones, Adelynn Crowe; nephews, Tripp Olson and Tyler Sharp, all of Tennessee; stepchildren: Jeanine Bowman, Kantrea Moye, Jimmy Moye, and a host of cousins and friends, all whom will miss her dearly.

Funeral Service was held on Friday, May 18, 2018 at 3 PM at Bostick Tompkins Funeral Home, 2930 Colonial Drive, Columbia, SC 29203. Interment following funeral service at Serenity Memorial Gardens, 1101 Buckner Road, Columbia, SC 29203.
