Reverend Harold Keith Webb, 76, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, May 13, 2018 at his home.

A native of Haywood County, he was a son of the late Homer and Martha Gibson Webb.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister.

Harold retired from Beacon Manufacturing in 2001 with 32 years of service and was a member of Fairmont Baptist Church. Pastor Webb led the establishment of Grace Baptist Church in Bryson City in 1983. Later he pastored Fairmont Baptist Church in Candler for 20 years until his retirement in 2015. In 2016, Pastor Harold Webb was presented with an Honorary Doctorate of Theology by the Mount Sheba Academy.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Barbara Passmore Webb; three daughters, Tamorah (Tami) Smith and husband, Gary, of Summersville, South Carolina, Tracy Ingle and husband, Alan, of Fletcher, and Toya Webb of Asheville; two sisters, Mary Baker and husband, Tony, of Charlotte, and Shirley Webb of Orangeburg, South Carolina; one brother, Gene Webb of Charlotte; two grandsons, Jeremiah and Seth Deese; and one great-grandson, Eli Deese.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 17, 2018 in the Canton Chapel of Wells Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Crawford/Ray Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until 12:45 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.

The care of Reverend Webb has been entrusted to Wells Funeral Homes.
