Barry Steven Dean, age 69 of Fairborn, passed away Friday September 29, 2017. He was born February 3, 1948 in Dayton, OH, the son of Charles E. and Ida M. (Sharp) Dean. Steve served his country in the U.S. Army and followed with employment as an electrician for Southwestern Cement Company. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles. Steve enjoyed history and collecting coins. He is preceded in death by his wife, Etta Dee Dean; father; and a brother, Richard "Ed" Dean. Steve is survived by his mother; a daughter, Tamara Augustine; two grandchildren, Alexandra N. Augustine, Tyler J. Augustine; a sister, Sharon (Terry) Kempf; a brother, John Dean; a sister-in-law, Gayle Dean; as well as many nieces, nephews, and other extended family. A visitation will be held on Wednesday October 4, 2017 from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. in the Belton-Stroup Funeral Home, 422 E. Dayton-Yellow Springs Rd., Fairborn, where a funeral service will be held on Thursday October 5, 2017 at 1:00 P.M., Pastor H. Wesley Barnhill officiating.
