On August 30, 1939 Patsy came into this world at home in Muskogee, OK, with the aide of a mid-wife, to Georgia and Claude Garland Peachee. She left to be with the Lord on Saturday, August 22, 2015 after a long struggle with health issues. Given only thirty to sixty days when she entered hospice, they were amazed a year and a half later, at the heart and determination of this small frail lady. She was the one with a smile and a kind word for everyone. Patsy married her childhood sweetheart Jimmie Doyle Howard in 1956. This union produced four children, four grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and a loving home for so many critters that no one can recall the count. It was well known that Patsy loved to travel, for their life’s journey took them to many parts of the world. Most of their travels were the result of Jim’s career in the Airforce, then as an electrical field engineer in the Petro Chemical industry along the gulf coast, and later as the director of maintenance on the world’s first chemical demilitarization plant on Johnston Atoll in the South Pacific. Her favorite place on earth was Hawaii and Australia. When offered the opportunity to purchase a home and live there though, she declined. She could not live that far from her children. She loved all of God’s Critters but was particularly fond of her dog’s, Rounder, Sissy, and a puppy named Lil Bit who only recently came into her life to assist her in her struggle. She was preceded in death by her youngest son, Robert Lee; parents, Georgia and Garland Peachee; brother, Claude Lee; sisters, Myrtle Grant and Paulette Moore. Memorial Services for Patsy will be held at 10:00 A.M. Monday, August 24, 2015 at Lescher-Millsap Funeral Home Chapel with David Calvert officiating. Inurnment will be at Ft. Gibson National Cemetery May 17, 2018 at 1:00.
