Sidney V. Church of 1216 Waring Street, Hanahan, a retired progress man at the U.S. Naval Shipyard, died yesterday at a Charleston hospital.
Prayer services will be held at Stuhr's North Area Funeral Chapel today at 3 p.m. Funeral and burial will be in Laurel, Mississippi.
Mr. Church was born February 14, 1895 in New Orleans, Louisiana, a son of A. F. Church and Mrs. Cora (DuPuis) Church.
He was a member of Yeamans Park Presbyterian Church.
Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Lorene (Chancellor) Church; one daughter, Mrs. Dorothy Wall of Hanahan; one sister, Mrs. Adelaide Smith of Hattiesburg, Mississippi; one brother, B. J. Church of New Orleans; three grandsons, and several nieces and nephews.
