She was born 25 Sept 1921 in Greenwood, Sebastian county, Arkansas to George Washington "Dick" Kersey, Jr & Jim Seatie Pettus. She grew up in Witcherville, Arkansas and graduated from Mansfield High School.
She married 01 Aug 1947 in Parks, Arkansas to Hollie Cleave Ford. After they moved to Stigler, she worked as a bookkeeper for Sturgeon's Pontiac & then 28 years as secretary for First Baptist Church, where she was a faithful member.
They had 3 children:
William Hollie Ford & wife Linda, John Louis Ford and Martha Ann Brown & husband Rob
5 granddaughters: Taylor Jane Brown, Morgan Evonne Brown, Andrea Wilson Ignacio, Carla Wilson Rodgers & Robyn Wilson Ballew, 6 great granddaughters and 1 great grandson, numerous nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by her parents, her siblings: Jim Ann Gleason, Dick Edwin Kersey and Billy Jack Kersey, and her husband of 71 years Hollie Cleave Ford(he died Jan 2018).
Funeral services will be 10:30am Friday May 18 at Mallory Chapel in Stigler with Rev. Gene Murry officiating, Burial will follow at Lovelace Cemetery in Witcherville, Arkansas.
Pallbearers will be Wesley Shelton, John Parsons, Coy Mike Few, Larry Godfrey, Ron Davis & Jimmy Echelle.
