Beverly Ann Holmes McIntyre, 67, died Thursday, February 15, 2018 at Baptist Memorial Hospital Golden Triangle. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Memorial Gunter Peel Funeral Home & Crematory, 2nd Avenue North. Rosary will be said Sunday , February 18, 2018 at 5:00 PM at Annunciation Catholic Church. A Mass of the Resurrection will be said Monday, February 19, 2018 at 12 :00 PM at Annunciation with Fathers Jeffrey Waldeep and Gerry Hurley, Co-Celebrants. Visitation, in the church atrium, will begin at 10:00 AM. Burial will be Tuesday at 2:00 PM at Augusta City Cemetery, Augusta, AR.

The only daughter of the late Herbert Reed and Virginia Brooks Holmes, Beverly was born March 30, 1950 in Augusta, AR. She graduated from Hot Springs High School, Hot Springs, AR, attended the University of AR and graduated with a B.A. degree in Fashion Merchandising from the University of Oklahoma. She remained a true Razorback fan throughout her lifetime and loved calling the Hogs. She spent many summers as a camper and later a counselor and water-front director at Heart O' the Hills Camp in Kerrville, TX. She moved to Columbus, MS from Hot Springs in 1973 and went to work for the late John Henry, President, Merchants and Farmers Bank , as his marketing head. She married Floyd H. McIntyre on September 3, 1977at Annunciation Catholic Church. She was a life member of the Jr. Auxiliary of Columbus and served as one of the first co-chairs of Camp Rising Sun. She loved to smock and sew and made many dresses for her daughter and granddaughter. She had served faithfully as the organist at Annunciation Catholic Church since 1995. In addition to her parents, She was predeceased by her mother-in-law and father-in-law Margaret Hudson and Thomas John McIntyre, Jr., brother-in-law and nephew Thomas John McIntye, III and Thomas John McIntyre, IV.

Mrs. McIntyre is survived by her husband of 40 years Floyd Hudson McIntyre, her daughter Margaret Virginia McIntyre and her granddaughter Anna Kinsley Cline, all of Columbus. She is also survived by her aunt Marjorie Martin and her cousin Janyth Baker ( Dr. Ronald), all of Searcy, AR and her cousins Bill Brooks of Augusta, AR and Margaret Bullard Owen of Star City AR. She is also survived by her brother-in-law and sister-in-law David and Betsy McIntyre of Plano, TX, and nieces Leah McIntyre Honeycutt (Mark) of Nashville, TN and Ashley McIntyre Carroll (Colin) of Dallas, TX and great nephews Hank and Owen McIntyre, as well as many Hudson and McIntyre cousins.

Pallbearers will be Dr. Mike McIntyre, Thomas McIntyre, Ray McIntyre, Bob McIntyre, Jimmy Graham, Tom Whitaker, Tony Tate, Doug Knittig, Hank Gunter, Willie Menotti.

Since Beverly will be buried in Augusta, AR, memorials may be made to The Organ Fund of Annunciation Catholic Church, Friends of Annunciation Catholic Church – Chapel Renovation Fund or Society of St. Vincent de Paul, all at 823 College Street, Columbus, MS 39701 or Annunciation Catholic School, 223 North Browder, Columbus, MS 39702.
