Garry L. Roberts, Sandy Creek Twp., Hadley, passed away at his residence Saturday morning, March 3, 2018 with his family by his side. He was 75.

Garry was born in Geneva, Crawford County on Feb. 26, 1943 a son of the late Kenneth and Helen Irene(Peterson) Roberts. He had been employed at the former Greenville Steel Car and then went onto work at the PPG, Meadville Plant from which he had retired. On September 12, 1959 he married the former Jeanette M. Kopta who survives at home. Garry was an avid hunter, had enjoyed fishing in his younger years, he possessed an appreciation for older cars and enjoyed attending the local car shows. Garry always took advantage of any opportunity he had to be on his John Deere tractor. He was a member of the NRA and was of the protestant faith.

He is survived by his wife Jeanette, a son Kenneth (Jake) Roberts and his wife Cathy of Clarks Mills; two daughters , Sherry Becker and her husband Steve of Clarks Mills and Theresa Reed and her life partner Renee Shook of Clarks Mills; a son in law, Richard A. Gall, Hadley; one sister Vicki (Roberts) Huston and her husband Joe of Hadley; Seven grandchildren; Misty Henry, Jennifer Alexander, Christofer Reed, Ricky Gall, Melaine Carr, Christine Gall and Levi Roberts; Eight great grandchildren; Kady Alexander, James Alexander, Anna Alexander, Lexi Carr, Brady Carr, Maxwell Carr, Miah Faith Carr and Olivia Gall.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a daughter, Renee A. Gall.

The funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 8, 2018 at 11:00 am at the Robert L. Snyder Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. 3223 Perry Hwy., Sheakleyville with Randy Keeling , pastor of the Reash Church, Cochranton officiating. The interment will follow at the Sheakleyville Cemetery. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 4:00 – 7:00 pm and are invited to share memories and condolences with the family online at snyderfh.com.
