Bobby R. Decker, Sr., age 75, of Red Oak, passed away Sunday morning, May 13, 2018 at his home. He was born October 16, 1942 in Greenville, Texas to Thomas Earl and Willene (Wilson) Decker. Bobby was a Vietnam Veteran and served in the United States Air Force from 1961 until 1967. He was a professional semi driver in the cement industry for 41 years. He was a lifetime member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and Disabled American Veterans. Bobby was an active member of Community Baptist Church led by his good friend and pastor, Dr. Brother Mickey.
Survivors include his loving wife of 51 years, Shirley Decker; son, Bobby Rex Decker, Jr. and wife Monica; two granddaughters, Gina Decker-Allen and husband David and Megan Decker; brother, Joe Wayne Decker; sister, Brenda Kay Decker. Bobby was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Earl Decker and mother, Willene “Mimi” Decker; brother, Billy Ray Decker and sister, Shirley “Sissy” Decker-Kirk.
Visitation for family and friends will be 6 to 8PM Wednesday, May 16, 2018 at the Boze-Mitchell-McKibbin Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be 11AM Thursday, May 17, 2018 at the Community Baptist Church, 1609 E. FM 664, Ferris, TX 75125. Interment will follow at the Red Oak Cemetery.
