Evelyn Jane Newton, age 71, of Haskell, passed away Saturday, May 12, 2018. She was born December 3, 1946 in Benton, Arkansas. Evelyn was a retired Physical Therapist. She was preceded in death by her mother, Alma Overton; father, Carl Lee Fewell; sister, Susie Longstreth and two brothers, Edward and Clifford Fewell.
She is survived by her husband, Charles Newton; two sons, Jeremy Newton and Jeffrey Newton; step-father, Jimmy Overton; brother, Bill Fewell; sister Kathy Hiett (sic-Catherin) and three grandchildren, Matthew, Trent and Clara Newton.
Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 16 at Ashby Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, May 17 at Ashby Funeral Home with burial at Mt. Harmony Cemetery.
Note: Not mentioned in preceding her in death was her first born grandson, Austin Newton. Not mentioned as surviving are numerous nieces and nephews along with their families and countless cousins and other extended family members.

Deborah, Angela and Diana are Charles' children from his first marriage and therefore were never mentioned in her obituary. She is survived by Deborah & Diana, preceded in death by Angela in 2008 .
