On May 12, 2018, Catherine St. Dizier Cobb, lovingly referred to as granny, passed away at her residence surrounded by her family, and went home to be with the Lord after an almost two year battle with cancer.

She was born on August 26, 1944, to Naomi and David St. Dizier, Sr. in Lake Charles, LA. She graduated from LaGrange High School in 1962 and attended Northwestern State College, where she met the love of her life, Donald Cobb, in a speech class. She and Donald were married on November 9, 1963. Cathy was also known by many as the "Avon Lady" as she was a representative since 1973. She loved selling Avon and visiting with her many customers. In 1985 she and Donald began working at Richardson's Electronics in Natchitoches, LA. They owned and operated the business until 2009 when they decided it was time to retire. Cathy enjoyed visiting with all the customers at the store and during the Christmas season, she would assist customers in picking out the "right" gift for their children in their families and assisted in wrapping many of them.

Those left to cherish her memory are her loving husband, Odis Donald Cobb, Sr.; three children, Lisa Laurent (Alex) of Robeline, LA, LaDonna Rachal (Russell) of Flora, LA, and Donnie Cobb of Natchitoches, LA; a half-sister, Judith Smith of Nacogdoches, TX; grandchildren, Ashley and Courtney Rachal, Brandy Elliott (John), Stephanie Brigmon, Meagan Freeman, Tony Procell (Kristen), Lexie Cook and Katie Cobb; as well as ten great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, David St. Dizier, Sr. and Naomi Humphries; a brother, David St. Dizier, Jr.; and a great-granddaughter, Emily Elizabeth Elliott.

She was a member of Provencal First Baptist Church and we would like to thank her church family for all your love and support during her illness. Also a special thanks to Heart of Hospice and the Northwest Louisiana Cancer Center for the care they have provided during her illness.

The family will receive friends from 5 pm until 8 pm on Monday, May 14, 2018, at Provencal First Baptist Church located at 123 Maple Street, Provencal, LA 71468. Funeral services will be at 10 am on Tuesday, May 15, 2018, at Provencal First Baptist Church with Bro. Bill Hudson officiating. Burial will follow at Coldwater Baptist Church Cemetery in Hagewood, LA under the direction of Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral Home.

Those honored to serve as pallbearers include Russell Rachal, John Elliott, David Elliott, Alex Laurent, Tony Procell, Bubba Cobb, and John Cobb. Honorary pallbearer will be Wade Elliott.
