Grace was a 1944 graduate of Cortland High School. On August 11, 1946, Grace was united in marriage to Llewellyn "Lou" Wollam and shared nearly 60 years together until his passing on June 9, 2006.
Grace & Lou were co-owners of Petrak & Wollam Oil Company in Cortland and had also owned
Laun Dry Cleaning in Cortland. In 1963, Grace and her husband founded Lou Wollam Chevrolet in Cortland and also owned Lou Wollam Lincoln-Mercury-Jeep in Hermitage, PA.
Grace retired in 1991 from her active role with the Chevrolet dealership.
Grace was a charter member of Living Lord Lutheran Church. She was an organist for Living Lord Lutheran Church as well as Cortland Christian Church, Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Love Funeral Home and Shafer-Winans Funeral Home. She also was a member of the Easter Star Opal Chapter #181.
Grace is survived by her two daughters, Glenda (Dana) Howard and Vickie (Vince) Prindle both of Cortland; daughter-in-law, Gail (Eric) Leonard of Canandaigua, New York; six grandchildren: Tiffany (Nathan) Sayers, Brian Howard, Jessica Wollam Logue, Kyle, Stephen and Michael Prindle as well as four great-grandchildren. Besides her husband, Grace was preceded in death by her son Wesley A. Wollam and her sister Norma Jean Hitchcock.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Grace's two caregivers, Jodie Shoemaker and Carol Wetzel for their devoted care and love they gave Grace for many years.
According to Grace's wishes, a private family service was held on Thursday, May 10, 2018 at the Hillside Cemetery Chapel in Cortland with Pastor, William D. Leitch of Living Lord Lutheran Church officiating
a celebration of life ceremony.
In lieu of flowers, material contributions may be made in Grace's name to Living Lord Lutheran Church, 851 Niles Cortland Rd., NE, Warren, OH 44484.
