Velma Faye Cardwell, 75, of Denton, passed away Sunday, February 21, 2016 at her residence. She was born August 30, 1940 in Rotan, TX to Willard and Gladys Woolsey Moize. She married the love of her life, Donald Cardwell. He preceded her in death. She had retired as a cook for the D.I.S.D.

Visitation will be Thursday, February 25, 2016 from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at DeBerry Funeral Directors. Funeral service will be Friday, February 26, 2016 at 1:00 P.M. at Full Gospel Family Worship in Denton, followed by burial at Shiloh Cemetery in Flower Mound.

She is survived by her son, Kerry Cardwell and his wife Candace of Allen; brother, Thomas Porter Foster of College Station; 2 grandchildren, Christian and Adayn, and numerous others that she was Granny to..

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband and sisters, Betty Billington and Vera Bailey.

Velma never knew a stranger and she was full of spunk and the spirit of Go

Velma was a graduate of Lubbock HS Class of 1958.
