FORT WORTH - Kenneth Lee Huffman passed away Thursday, May 10, 2018, doing what he loved, working on his outdoor projects with his buddy, Newby.
Memorials: In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Humane Society of Texas or the charity of your choice.
Ken was born in Audrain County in Mexico, Missouri on June 17, 1941, to Lee and Anna Huffman. He graduated from Mexico High School in 1959 and later, following service in the United States Navy, from Washington University in 1969.
Ken met the love of his life, Georgia, while attending college and they were married in 1961. They settled in Fort Worth in 1969, where Ken established his appraisal service business. They lived on Eagle Mountain Lake for 43 years, where they raised their two sons and enjoyed a multitude of water sports.
Ken was an avid golfer and enjoyed hunting with his trusty dog, Casey. He was happy in retirement and loved spending time with his family and friends, most recently sharing good times with new friends in Port Isabel.
He was involved in numerous professional and social organizations, having held offices in several over the years and was joined in the appraisal business by his sons as they began their careers.
Survivors: Loving wife of 56 years, Georgia; sons, Brian of Fort Worth and Chris of South Padre Island; granddaughter, Haley and her mother, Debbie; one brother, Larry (Julie); and many, many friends and admirers.
