Sam Robinson, age 75, died March 16, 2018 at Deaconess Hospital after a short illness. Sam worked at the county garage for thirty years before his retirement. Many who knew him found him to be a very likable but quite and private man. In his earlier years he was a member of the choir at the Little Valley Missionary Baptist Church. He was also in a men’s quartet, the Soul Seekers, where he led some songs with his falsetto voice. He had a quiet demeanor, a smooth walk and a wonderful big smile that got him the nickname “Sammy Davis Jr.” by the other members of the quartet.
There will be a memorial service for Sam Robinson at 10:00 a.m. April 4, 2018 at the Little Valley Missionary Baptist Church, 221 E. Riverside with Dr. Matory Bailey officiating. Ziemer Funeral Home Central Chapel will be handling the arrangements. Condolences may be made online at www.ziemerfuneralhome.com
