Daytona Beach, Fla.-Philip R. Allen, 92, passed away May 9 at Emory Bennett VA Nursing Home in Daytona Beach, Fla.

He was born in Hanover Ctr. On April 30, 1926, son of Lillian Campbell Allen and Harry Allen.

He attended school in Hanover Ctr. And Canaan, N.H.

Phil served in the US Army during World War II and was a POW in Germany.

He worked much of his life as a salesperson in local car dealerships.

Phil was Worthy Grand Patron of the Grand Chapter of NH, Order of the Eastern Star and Past Patron of Summit Chapter of the Order of Eastern Star in Canaan, NH. He was Past District Grand Master of the Masonic Grand Lodge of NH.

Philip was instrumental in putting on addition to the Masonic Hall in Canaan, NH and was always doing numerous projects around the Hall.

He was  a member of the VFW-Post 3282 in Port Orange, Fla., a member of the Eagles-Post 4089 in Port Orange and very active in the rolling Thunder Organization and the POW/MIA.

Survivors include his wife, Constance McCrossin and family, sons Ross (Karen), Keith (Su') and daughter Gloria (Daryl) Robbins, 9 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his 1st wife of 60 years, Lois Wilkinson Allen, his daughter Kathleen Allen Gambell and her husband Jerry E. and granddaughter, Meridith Robbins. Also predeceased by his brother James, and three sisters, Madeline Wills  Ruth Clark and Nellie Allen.
