Debbie Squier Cook, 62, West Scranton, died Thursday at Geisinger CMC, Scranton. She was the beloved companion of Erv Pilger.

Born in Scranton, daughter of the late Raymond and Catherine Sciacca Squier, Debbie was of the Catholic faith, a graduate of West Scranton High School class of 1974 and Lackawanna County VoTech LPN School of Nursing. Over the past 20 years, Debbie enjoyed working with her many residents as property manager first for Allied Services and recently by PMI at their Morgan Highway and Dickson City campuses.

Debbie had an unwavering love of family, friends and animals. There was little she wouldn't do for anyone in need. She was not only Aunt Debbie to her niece and nephews, but to their friends and those who loved her. She will be deeply missed by all.

In addition to Erv, Debbie will be remembered with love by her sister, Donna Macavage and her husband, Paul, and son, Christopher, Scranton; niece and nephew, Jennifer and Jeffery Squier, Scranton; Andria Pilger, who was like her daughter; numerous cousins; and her many, many loving friends.

She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Raymond in 2012; and Joseph Squier, in 1975.

Funeral services will be held Monday at Donahue Funeral Home, 303 S. Main Ave., Scranton, with services at 11 a.m. with the celebrant to be announced.

The family will greet friends at the funeral home Sunday from 4 to 8 p.m. and Monday from 10 a.m. until the time of service. Interment will be at Cathedral Cemetery, Scranton.
