Laura M. “Mae” Conner, 83, died Wednesday, May 9, at the Brethren Home in New Oxford. She was the wife of Richard A. Conner, Sr. who died December 25, 1980. Born May 4, 1935 in Cabins, WV, she was the daughter of the late Jonah E., Sr. and Sara (Moyer) Wolford. Laura was a high school graduate, attended nursing school and was a homemaker.

Surviving are her sons, Richard Conner, Jr. of Paducah, KY and Randy Conner of Gettysburg; her daughters: Kathy Long of Rozet, WY and Laura DeGroft and husband, Jeff, of Littlestown; her 16 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren and her sister Alverta “Pet” Miller of Westminster, MD. She was predeceased by her daughter Robin Warehime, her son Robert Conner, her brothers Denton and Roy Wolford and sisters Carol Cunningham and Bonnie Haines. Laura attended Gettysburg Baptist Church. She loved antiques, reading, flowers, gardening and being with her family.

Memorial Service is Tuesday, May 15, at 6:30 P.M. at the Gettysburg Baptist Church with the Rev. Bill Mummert officiating
