Brown L. Moody, 89, of Merrimack, New Hampshire, formerly of Gloucester and Center Cross, Virginia, passed on May 5, 2018. He was born on Oct. 20, 1928 to Franklin Sr. (Pease) and Mary Belle Rowe Moody. Brown was a retired waterman and auto mechanic. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Franklin Jr.; nephews, Julian B. Jr. (Bub) and Sharon Moody; sister, Marie Stevens; first wife, Jeannette Robbins Rainier Moody, and second wife, Phyllis L. Moody. He is survived by brother, Julian B. Sr. (Edna May); nephew, Joel Moody; niece, Judy Haile, all of Center Cross; niece, June Elliott of Mechanicsville; stepdaughters, Dianne Hendley (Ron) of Merrimack, Denise Fracasse (Jay) of Hayes; stepsons, R.B. Rainier Jr. (Barbara) of Melbourne, Florida, Joe Rainier (Joni) of Coldwater, Michigan; 11 grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be held Friday, May 11, 2018, at noon at Ephesus Baptist Church, 287 Ephesus Church Road, Dunnsville, Va. 22454.
