BOYLSTON

John Crast and Miss Margaret Lanthier were married in Watertown, Nov. 24. Mr. Crast is well known here as is also his bride who is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Lanthier of Boylston. The young couple have many friends here, who wish them the best of luck. They will make their home in Watertown for a while at least, as Mr. Crast has a fine position there.

CRAST - CRANDALL

Mrs. Fannie Chawgo Crandall and John E. Crast, both of Watertown, were married in the First Methodist parsonage in Lorraine Sunday, April 18, 1943 by the pastor, Rev. Coyne L. Glffiord. Erwln A. Crast of Watertown, brother of the groom,
was best man and Miss Jenny Leepy of Lorraine, a cousin of the bride, was bridesmaid. The couple now reside in Watertown but expect to move to Lacona in the near future.

Mr. Crast, a native of Boylston, is employed as carpenter foreman by the Nsw York Air Brake Company. He is a son of Mrs. Margaret Crast of Watertown and the late Eli Crast of Lacona. Mrs. Crast is a daughter of the late Robert and Flora S. Chawgo and attended school in Sandy Creek.

Man Dies After Rowing to Shore

John Edward Crast, 56 of Pillar Point died suddenly of a heart attack about 9:30 Saturday evening, May 1, 1954. He and Mrs. Crast had been fishing offshore near Sackets Harbor when a storm came upland after rowing fast to escape, he collapsed after reaching shore and was pronounced dead upon the arrival of a physician.

Mr. Crast was born in Boylston November 24, 1897, son of Eli and Margaret Snyder Crast. Since 1937 he had worked as a carpenter for the New York Air Brake company, Watertown. He was a member of the Lincoln league, Watertown, and the Birdseye bowling league, Watertown.

Surviving Relatives

Surviving, besides his wife, Mrs. Fannie Chawgo Crandall Crast, are three brothers, Erwin Crast, Pillar Point; James Crast, Sandy Creek; and Ivan Crast, Lacona; and two step-sons, Earl Crandall, Watertown, Route 2; and Robert Crandall, 762 Knickerbocker Drive, Watertown.

His funeral was heid Tuesday afternoon in Watertown, with Rev. Walton. D. Moffitt, pastor of Emmanuel Congregational church, officiating. Burial was in Wesleyan cemetery, Lacona
