Samuel Lamont Carter, 43, of Charleston, SC, passed away on May 4, 2018, at his residence. Born on July 9, 1974, in Newark, NJ, he was the son of the late Samuel Lee Carter Jr. and Connie C. Carter, who survives. He was a U.S. Army veteran and a hazardous waste truck driver. He is survived also by a daughter, Ashley Rose Carter; a brother, Percy Averette; two sisters, Percette Averette and Ta Lowery. Burial will be in Hillcrest Burial Park, Chatham, Va.
