Loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, businesswoman, friend, and artist, Darlene Dee Lindsey, 73, passed away on June 9, 2017, in her home in Riverside, CA peacefully and surrounded by family and friends. Darlene was born in Glendale, CA on September 26, 1943 to David and Genevieve Baker. Married for 57 years, Darlene married the love of her life, Charles R. Lindsey (Chuck), on December 20, 1959. Darlene helped her son Mark open and manage the City Hall Coffee Shop in Riverside, CA. Together they served City Hall with delicious food for many years. She was an artist and expanded her artistic abilities in photography, painting, sewing and quilting. Her last project was making 17 quilts to give to her great- grandchildren for Christmas 2016, while in the middle of her battle with cancer. Her family was the most important thing in her life. Darlene was preceded in death by son Charles, Jr, survived by husband Chuck; son Mark; 5 grandchildren, and 16 great-grandchildren.
Viewing service: June 21, 2017 6-8pm, Arlington Mortuary, 9645 Magnolia Ave., Riverside. Funeral will be held at the LDS Church June 22, 2017, 16930 Via Los Caballeros, Riverside. Visiting at 10 am and Memorial Service at 11 am. Interment in Olivewood Memorial Park, 3300 Central Ave., Riverside.
