Linda Alberta (Truxal) Abruzere, 70, of North Huntingdon, passed away Sunday, April 29, 2018 after a courageous struggle with cancer. She was born June 22, 1947 in Braddock, Pa., a daughter of the late Albert Lester and Lena Louise (Alessandro) Truxal. Prior to her retirement, Linda was employed by Westinghouse as a special compensation administrator. She was a 1965 graduate of Norwin Senior High School, Norwin Leaders Club and FBLA. She was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church of Irwin where she was a liturgical assistant. Linda belonged to Westinghouse TCC Golf Team and various golf leagues, participated in annual tournaments and was a member of Westinghouse Softball League. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Leah Jane Patik, Karen Lee Ilgenfritz; and brother-in-law, Jack Ilgenfritz. She is survived by her sister, Deborah Gries and her husband, Kenneth; and several nieces and nephews from Charleston, SC. A memorial service will be held at the Lutheran Church of the Holy Trinity, 502 Main Street, Irwin PA on Saturday May 5 at 10 a.m. Donations may be made to the American Cancer Society of Greater Pittsburgh, 320 Bilmar Dr., Pittsburgh, PA 15205, in memory of Linda. www.shirleyfuneralhome.com.
