JAMES W. DONEBURG

It is with sorrow that we chronicle_ the passing out of this life, James W. Doneburg, which occurred February 5th at his home on the Orwell road east of Lacona. He was stricken with paralysis eight months ago, and in the meantime, suffered from neuritis and other complications. He was a native of the town of Boylston, the date of his birth being August 16,1857. His parents were Adam and Mary Dingman Doneburg, who did pioneer work among the early settlers of their home town. He was united in marriage February 15, 1881 with Mary B Bobbins, who with, one son Foster A Doneburg, survive him. He is also survived by one sister, Mrs. W.M. Windsor, Altmar

Funeral service will be held Friday, February 8, prayer at ihe house at 1:30 p.m. and at the Congregational Church at 2 p.m., Rev. T.T. Davies will officiate. The body will be committed to the vault at Woodlawn cemetery to await burial to be in the family lot at Wesleyan cemetery.

The departed had been a.resident of Sandy Creek, and vicinity most of his life time, and he was well and favorably known by a large Circle of friends, who deeply mourn his departure He was a faithful employee of Henry Stevens & Son for a number of years, and won the confidence of his employers, by his strict fidelity to his duties. He was actuate to the principle of doing unto others as he would have them do unto him. A man who knew him well said that he was trustworthy in all spheres of life and never failed to give full measure in devotion and service to those that hired him. He was a member of the Maccabees and gave support to their organization.
