Margie Sylvia Taylor, 89, of Elkton, passed away, Thursday, May 10, 2018 at Journeys Crossing. She was born November 10, 1928 in Rockingham County and was the daughter of the late Sherman and Lilly Lam Lawson.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death, by her husband, Harold Lee Taylor, who passed away in 1981 and a son, Dwight Taylor.

Margie retired from Merck as a chemical operator. She was a lifetime member of the Elkton United Methodist Church and a member of the Elkton Church of God. She enjoyed gardening and growing flowers. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great- grandmother that will be deeply missed.

She is survived by her son, Jerry Taylor and wife, Kathy of Elkton; daughter, Linda Morris and husband, Carroll of Elkton; a grandson raised in the home, David Taylor and wife, Becky; nine grandchildren, Shane Taylor and girlfriend, Kara, Brad Taylor and wife, Nikki, Jimmy Miller, Jeff Miller, Robbie Miller and wife, Karen, Shannon Morris, Brian Morris and Brandi Morris; great- grandchildren, Bryndal Neff, Morgan Taylor, Hannah Taylor, J.T. Miller. Jamie Miller, Courtney Sacra, Samantha Williams, Adam Miller, Kirsten Morris, Katelyn Morris, Genesis Morris and Dylan Taylor and three great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 6-8pm on Saturday, May 12, 2018 at Kyger Funeral Home in Elkton.

A funeral service will be held at 11am on Monday, May 14, 2018 at Kyger Funeral Home in Elkton with Rev. Dan Garber officiating.

Burial will follow at Eastlawn Memorial Gardens.
