William Harvey Cook, October 09, 1976
William Harvey Cook, 71, 804 N. Church St., Dublin, died this morning at his residence after being in declining health for some time. Funeral services will be held at 4:00pm Sunday at the chapel of Townsend Brother Funeral Home and Rev. William I. Jordan and Rev. Jimmy R. Smith officiating. Burial will be in Northview Cemetery. Born and reared in Laurens County, Mr. Cook was the son of the late William T. Cook and Sara Cox Cook of Laurens County. He was a retired business man associated with the Sinclair and American Oil Companies for over 40 years here in Dublin. He was a member of the First Christiam Church. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Louise Pope Cook, Dublin, one son, Frank Cook, Dublin: one brother Luther Cook, Dublin; two sisters, Mrs. E. R. Veal, Dublin; Mrs. M.N. Spivey, Reidsville; three grandchildren, Jeffery, DeLynn and Jason Cook, all of Dublin, and several nieces and nephews. Nephews will serve as pallbearers, Eugene Cook, B. W. Cook, Carlton Lee Cooke, Claxton Veal, Tennyson Elders, and Ronald Cooke. The family will be at his home at 804 N. Church Street. The family will receive friends at the funeral home tonight from 7:30pm until 9:00pm.
