ARTIS M. SMITH, 85, of Memphis, retired cosmetologist, homemaker, and caregiver, died March 29, 2007 at Methodist University Hospital. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Friday, April 6, and funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 7, both held at Keel Avenue Baptist Church, 778 N. Bellevue Blvd., where she was a member. Burial will be at 10 a.m. Monday, April 9 in West Tennessee Veterans Cemetery. She was preceded in death by her husband, Royal R. Smith. She leaves a daughter, Deloris D. Ketchum of Memphis; two granddaughters, Sonia L. Worsham and Sherreka L. Ketchum, both of Memphis; one great-granddaughter, Mikynia C. Worsham of Memphis.
