Erma Lee (Dilbeck) Walker passed away quietly in her daughter’s home in Newcaslte, Oklahoma, on Wednesday, May 9, 2018 surrounded by her loving family. She was 91 years old. Erma Lee was born in Roff, Oklahoma to her parents, Fred and Flora (Moore) Dilbeck on February 21, 1927. She attended school at Oak Grove and graduated from Hickory High School as Salutatorian. Erma then ventured to the big city, where she attended business school, worked at Tinker Field, and later retired from the Oklahoma Employment Security Commission, where she worked in the payroll division in 1987. Erma Lee married Leo Walker on April 19, 1947. Together they shared more than 60 years together before his passing in 2007. Erma Lee had a quiet, sweet personality, a kind heart, was slow to anger, with determination and inner strength and a deep Christian faith. She enjoyed reading, writing poetry and songs, gardening, traveling in their camper and fishing. She could fish for hours. She was adored by many, loved by all, and will be mightily missed.

She is survived by her daughter Barbara Codner & husband Dean; son Don Walker & wife Smret; four grandchildren: Christopher Smith, Mary Gabellieri, Bea Killgore, and Zac Smith & wife Christina; three great-grandchildren: Andrew Gabellieri, Coltin Kilgore, and Ava Smith; 1 great-great grandson, Ryan Romines; and many nieces, nephews and friends.

Erma Lee had a quiet, sweet personality, a kind heart, was slow to anger, with determination and inner strength and a deep Christian faith. She enjoyed reading, writing poetry & songs, gardening, traveling in their camper & fishing (she could fish for hours.) She was adored by many, loved by all, and will be mightily missed.

Visitation will be Today, Friday May 11, 2018, from 4-8PM at Vondel Smith Mortuary South Lakes. Services will be held on Saturday May 12, 2018 at 10:30 AM with a 2PM burial at Dolberg Cemetery in Roff, OK. Please visit vondelsmithmortuary.com to leave condolences.
