World War II and the Korean WarDied Tuesday at Baptist Hospital North East in LaGrange, KY.

He was a native of Hardin County and was a member of Glendale Christian Church. Her retired from the Navy, where he survived Pearl Harbor and was in every major battle in the Pacific. He also was a retired Merchant Marine and was in every war and conflict from World War II through the invasion of Granada.

He was preced in death by his parents, George Calvin and Anna Geralds Puckett; three brothers, Edwin, Conley and Leon Puckett and four sisters, Eunice Bash, Beatrice Hawkins, Vanda Brigantie and Juanita Copelin.

Survivors include his wife, Linda Howe Puckett; two sons, James (Katie) and Edwin Puckett, all of Jacksonville, FL; three daughters, Cynthia Boardman of NY, Michaele Kaelin (Jason) of Plantation, FL., and Laura Chisholm (Andy) of Elgin, Neb.,; and a brother, Calvin (Doris) Puckett of Greensburg; a sister-in-law, Pat Routt of Hodgenville; nine grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at Glendale Christian Church with Brother Mike Bell officating.
