Nancy Lou Strickland, 65, of Princeton died Monday, May 7, 2018 in Lexington, KY. Nancy was a US Army veteran and attended the Maranatha Baptist Church.

Born April 7, 1953 in Hinton, WV to the late Zed Young (1911-1998) and Francis Louise Young (1919-1966). In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two sisters, Nora Anne Young (1942-1942) and Neva May Young-Blankenship (1944-2016).

Survivors include two daughters, Melissa Strickland-Defoe of Princeton and Savannah Strickland-Defoe of Princeton; one son, Christopher Strickland & wife Amber Strickland of Princeton; three brothers, Charles Melvin Young & wife Vicki Young of Princeton, William "Tootsie" Young & wife Wanda Young of Elgood, and Kenny Ray Young (1959-2020) of Lakeland, FL; two sisters, Mary Young-Southern of Princeton, and Margie Young-Keats & husband Harvey Keats of Canada; special friend of 20 years, Raymond Webb; eleven grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, May 11, 2018 at Rocky Mount United Methodist Church in Pipestem with Reverend Marvin Mills officiating. Burial will follow at the Rocky Mount Cemetery.
