Neil B. Davis, 80, of Henderson, passed away peacefully Monday, May 7, 2018, surrounded by the love of his family. Neil was born December 14, 1937, in Santaquin, Utah, to Cliff and Ora Davis. He moved to Las Vegas in 1960. He worked for Del Webb and Tiberti Construction before starting his own business, Davis Concrete Construction, which expanded to include B & D Plastering and Aqua Tile & Pool Savers. He never advertised and was known for his quality work. Neil was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where he served as Bishop. He loved working with the Boy Scouts and went on many trips with them and provided a lot of work projects for the boys to earn money for their trips and to learn the value of hard work. He was the recipient of the Silver Beaver Award in 1997. He also served nine years in the Las Vegas Temple. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Roy and Garry; a sister, Janet; his son, Bryon; and a granddaughter, Allie. Left to cherish his memories are his children, Wendy Paez, (David), Jeff Davis (Joni) and Brad Davis; his grandchildren, Jenny Bleyl, Amanda Paez, Russell Davis, Eric Davis, Kristine Davis, Alisha Smith, Blaine Davis, Spencer Davis, Hailee Brown, Lydia Davis, Carson Davis and Matthew Davis; nine great-grandchildren; and his devoted wife, of nearly 62 years, Pauline. Neil loved his family and when anyone asked him how he was feeling he would always say, "If I was any better I couldn't stand it." His favorite vacation spot was the family cabin in Beaver, Utah. His favorite buddy was his dog, Kipper. Neil's motto was that of Winston Churchill, "We make a living by what we get, we make a life by what we give." Viewing will be 9-10:30 a.m. Friday, May 11, with service following at 11 a.m., both at the LDS Galleria Chapel, 1551 Galleria Drive, Henderson.
