He was born March 10 1909 in Marlan, Washington. He was a warehouseman for Western Farmers Association, having retired in 1963. Memberships included the American Legion and Cle Elum Eagles.
Survivors include his wife, Caroline, South Cle Elum; three sons, Dick of Snoqualmie; Ted, Black Diamond; and Don, South Cle Elum; four daughters, Mrs. Roy Drott, Richland; Mrs. Irene Culp, Tacoma; Mrs William Wines, and Mrs. John Kraft, both of Airway Heights; one brother, Vern, Ellensburg; one sister, Mrs. Daisy Whitcomb, Tacoma; and 26 grandchildren.
Graveside services will be conducted 2 p.m., Saturday at the Veteran's Cemetery in Roslyn, with the American Legion officiating.
