Gary Seibel passed away April 14, 2018 at his home in Odessa at the age of 69. Gary was born April 21, 1948 in Ritzville to Henry and Coral (Wolverton) Seibel. He grew up in Odessa and attended Odessa Schools and always considered himself a member of the class of 1968.

Gary's newspaper delivery career started in 1963, when he started delivering the Spokane Daily Chronicle, an afternoon paper, which eventually merged with the morning seven-days-per week newspaper, The Spokesman Review. Gary delivered the Spokesman-Review to the entire town until he fell and fractured a hip on Christmas Day, 2010, yes, while delivering newspapers. Gary had enjoyed bowling in the past, horseshoes and darts. He especially enjoyed coffee in the mornings with the coffee group and lunches in late winter at the Odessa Gun club. He was an avid TV watcher and extremely smart in regard to TV trivia. Gary had a great sense of humor and enjoyed making people laugh.

Gary is survived by sisters Lorraine (Donald) Burghard and Cheryl (David) Parham; nieces Judy Burghard Rice and Shelly Burghard LaRoche; nephews Barrett Burghard, Russell Burghard and Thomas Parham; four great nephews and one great niece; his wonderful caregiver of the past five years, Kathy McClure, and many friends.

Gary is preceded in death by his parents and niece, Vicki Sue Burghard.

A Celebration of Life Memorial service will be held May 4, 2018 at the Odessa Foursquare Church with Pastor Jon Hayashi officiating. Strate Funeral Home in Davenport is caring for the Seibel family.
