Ryan Alexander Hoffman
October 12, 1994 - May 3, 2018

Adventurous. Happy. Thoughtful. Hardworking. Respectful. Wise. Kindhearted. Fearless. Hilarious. Loving beyond measure. Brave. Devoted and, above all, the truest and most loyal friend. These are just a few words those closest to Ryan Alexander Hoffman have to say about him. Our “Beautiful Baby Boy” embarked on his final adventure to be with the Lord on Thursday, May 3, 2018 while living in Tucson, Arizona. At 23 years old, Ryan has accomplished more than most 73 year olds. Ryan is a skilled soccer player, an exceptionally gifted, self-taught guitarist, a founding member of the Gato Nation, a plant scientist with a Bachelor’s degree in Agronomy from the University of Arizona, a liaison for the U of A as well as a lead researcher with one of the top facilities for international sustainable agriculture.

Ryan’s affinity for plants began at a young age as he watched his Tata garden in Concho, Arizona. Ryan’s love for life is abundantly clear through his ability to say yes to each of the many whims of his friends & family – no matter his personal or professional plans for the day. Ryan’s insistence to live in the moment is infectious. If approached to attend a 10 P.M. concert on the eve of a 6 A.M. work-shift, Ryan would attend the show and be ten minutes early to work the next morning. That’s just Ryan – always pushing his limits to the extreme. Ryan’s position of being the middle child is one taken seriously as Sticky’s role model & Jayskii’s safe keeper. The rock of our family – all tension could dissipate with one joke – or quick fart – from Ryan. Ryan’s legacy is as the peacemaker and joy-bringer to all who know him.

Ryan is preceded in death by Larry Hoffman (Grampa), Libor Garcia (Tata) and Sharon Hoffman (Gramma).

Ryan is survived by his parents – Richard & Helen Hoffman, his older sister – Jordyn, his younger brother – Nicholas, his nana – Tillie Garcia and many aunts, uncles, cousins & friends – all of whom he loves dearly.

While Ryan’s enthusiastic energy, quick wit, blue eyes & devilishly handsome grin are already deeply missed, Ryan’s bright spirit is felt deeply & lives on strongly through all who love him.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 8, 2018 from 5-8 P.M. with a Rosary at 7 P.M. at Saint Helen’s Catholic Church on 55th Avenue and Cholla in Glendale, Arizona. A funeral mass will also be held at St. Helen’s on Wednesday, May 9, 2018 at 10 A.M.

Go with the flow, Bubby. Ride the waves, RyGuy. Welp, see ya, POP. Later dayz, Rhino. BOOYAH!
