TEMPLETON -- Donna Marie (White) McKnight, 39, of 42 A Brooks Village Road, died Sunday, March 6, in Templeton after being struck by an automobile.
She was born on Feb. 3, 1966, in Gardner, the daughter of Francis White, Jr. and Beatrice (Burns) Voisine. She grew up in South Royalston, attended Montachusett Regional Vocational Technical School in Fitchburg and graduated from Gardner High School in 1985. She had lived in Orange several years before moving to Templeton.
Mrs. McKnight was a substitute teacher for the Narragansett School District and had previously worked at Yankee Candle in South Deerfield, Slencil Company in Orange and Sterilite in Townsend.
She enjoyed ten-pin bowling and was a member of the Gardner Ten Pin league. She also enjoyed seasonal camping at Lamb City Campground in Phillipston, collecting carousels, working on arts and crafts with her grandchildren and going for long walks.
Growing up she attended Second Congregational Church in South Royalston and later attended New Life Christian Fellowship of the Assemblies of God Church in Orange.
Mrs. McKnight leaves her husband of 12 years, Scott McKnight; a son, Justin McKnight of Templeton; two daughters, Sammantha White and Courtney McKnight both of Templeton; two stepsons, Daryl E. McKnight of Spencer and Nicholas McKnight of Sterling; a brother, Scott F. White of Gardner; a sister, Dianna J. Larrabee of Templeton; her father and stepmother, Francis and Florence White, Jr. of South Royalston; her mother and stepfather, Beatrice and Lucien Voisine of Troy, N.H.; paternal grandparents, Francis H. and Eleanor White, Sr. of South Royalston; her mother-in-law, Florence McKnight of Orange; several grandchildren; nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and close friends.

Funeral services will be Friday, March 11, at 10 a.m. in Higgins-O'Connor Funeral Home, 146 Main St., Athol with the Rev. Frank Visco, pastor of New Life Christian Fellowship officiating. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery, Templeton.
Calling hours are Thursday, March 10, from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations be sent to the Gardner Animal Shelter, c/o Gardner Board of Health, 95 Pleasant St., Gardner, MA 01440.
