Dorothy Sharp walked through the gates of Heaven on May 5, 2018.
She was dearly loved by her family and friends. She always had a smile for everyone.
Dorothy was born May 7, 1927, in Baggett, Comanche County, Texas, to Jasper and Sarah Iva Pettijohn. She was the fifth of ten children and was born and raised in the family home, where they worked and played hard.
She was the valedictorian of her high school and attended Tarleton State University. She started teaching high school business classes in 1946, in Desdemona, Texas.
Dorothy married Pierce Sharp on July 26, 1946, and had one daughter, Linda. They followed the oil industry through Wyoming, Colorado, and Utah until retiring in 1993, in Dublin. She was preceded in death by her husband, Pierce, on July 23, 2009.
Dorothy was a member of the First Baptist Church of Dublin, and a follower of Jesus Christ.
She is survived by her daughter - Linda Gee & husband Robert; her grandchildren - David Gee & wife Michelle, Darren Gee, and Melissa Hay; her great-granddaughters - Rachel, Sarah, Danielle Gee, and Alyssa Hay; and her brothers - Joe Pettijohn and Denney Pettijohn.
