Ms. Jean Conditt Breeding Butler, age 89, passed away on Saturday, April 28, 2018, after a brief illness. Ms. Butler was born in Livingston, TN and lived in Nashville, TN for most of her life before moving to Milledgeville about ten years ago. She had experience as an office manager at an interior design practice, was an avid reader, volunteer and contributor to the libraries, and retired from the IRS as a tax specialist.

She was known for her love of poetry, kindness, Democratic politics, at its best, and Unitarian Universalism.

Ms. Butler was preceded in death by her daughter, Mary Ann Butler Lewis 2 years ago; mother, Carrie Elizabeth High Breeding; and father William Martin Breeding.

She is survived by her daughter, Jane (Don) Braxley of Milledgeville; grandchildren, Jacob Braxley of Chicago, IL, Ben (Nicki) Braxley of Sacramento, CA; and William Lewis of Germany; great grandchildren, Anara Braxley, and Viridian Braxley; and many generations of family and friends.

Graveside services for Ms. Butler and her late daughter, Mary Ann Butler Lewis will be held in Cookeville City Cemetery in Tennessee on Thursday, Mary 3, 2018 at 3 PM.
