PRINCETON – Sheila Wright, 78, of Princeton, died Saturday, May 5, 2018. Mrs. Wright was a 1958 graduate of Matoaka High School and received her B.S. degree from Concord College in 1962. She married Alvin Vermillion Wright (1936-1998) on March 4, 1958 in Spanishburg, Mercer County, WV (per WV Marriage License Register, Mercer County, WV, 1958, Page 8, Line 33, Application Date: March 1, 1958). She was a school teacher in Mercer County from 1962 until her retirement in 2003. She attended the Princeton Rescue Squad Chapel.

Born April 15, 1940 in Matoaka, she was the daughter of the late Alvin Martin (Deceased) and Izetta Morris Martin (Deceased). In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Martin Wright (Deceased).

Survivors include her grandson, Martin Wright, II of Matoaka; and four special cousins.

A memorial service will be conducted at 4:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 9, 2018 at the Bailey-Kirk Funeral Home in Princeton with the Rev. Danny Gunnoe officiating.
