Our precious Erin Nicolle Alexander, 22, beloved daughter, goddaughter, granddaughter, sister, niece, and friend, was called to her eternal resting place on May 4, 2018. She entered this world on July 2, 1995 in Oklahoma City, OK, born to Christa Hammack and Claude Alexander.

Erin's roots began in Oklahoma where she was surrounded by so much of her maternal family and was endlessly doted on. She and her mom moved to Texas a few years later where they formed a love for the Lone Star State. They moved on to Indiana where Erin spent the majority of her life growing up in New Albany, IN where she attended St. Mary's Catholic School. She continued on to attend Assumption High School in Louisville, KY where she very appropriately was awarded "Most Humorous" in her class. She graduated from Assumption High School in 2013 and made the decision to move to back to her beloved Texas to attend the University of Texas where she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology in May 2017. After graduation, Erin went to work with her father at Alexander Vineyards in Fredericksburg, TX. While her official title was HR Manager, Erin welcomed the opportunity to work with her dad who would teach her about every aspect of the business in the hope that she would someday take the reins from him.

Erin was truly a special person to all who had the privilege to know her. She was the embodiment of all things good, lovely, and genuine. She had a lively and vibrant spirit along with an extremely loving, pure, and empathetic heart. She loved her family and friends with a passion and dedicated much of her time to making each and every person feel like they were the most special person in existence. It’s no secret that she was hilarious and that she loved to make people laugh. She was a ray of sunshine on a cloudy day, and she spread her light over so many people in so many places.Though Erin was taken from us too soon, she lived her 22 years here on this earth to the fullest. She adored traveling, music, going to concerts, dogs, wine, and above all, spending time with her family and friends.

She is survived by her parents Christa Hammack and Claude Alexander, her stepfather Doug Hammack, her grandparents Maria Barton (Maga), Vickie Alexander, and Claude Alexander, her sister Abigayle Hammack, her stepbrother Zach Hammack, her godparents Leslie Baldwin and Trevor Schirf, her fairy godmother Stacey Schirf, her better half Rafael Flores, and her many aunts, uncles, and cousins who all loved her so dearly. She is preceded in death by her grandfathers Gary Barton and Michael Gay.

A memorial service to honor Erin will be held on Thursday, May 10, 2018, 6:30 pm. at Asa Smith Memorial Chapel, 2039 Tim Holt Dr., Harrah, OK 73045.

There will be a second service to honor Erin in Indiana on Friday, May 18 at 6 p.m. The service will include a funeral mass and dinner and will be held at St. Mary's Catholic Church located at 415 E 8th St., New Albany, IN 47111.
