TEMPLETON, Mass. -- Michael Joseph Wylie, 47, of 107 Lauren View Drive, died July 15, 2008, at home.
He was born in Winchester, Oct. 13, 1960, to George and Mary Theresa (Connolly) Wylie.
He grew up in Raymond, N.H., and graduated from Raymond High School. He had been a resident of Templeton since 1993.
He underwent training and completed his apprenticeship to become a licensed lineman. He was employed by Templeton Municipal Light Dept. for more than 15 years. He was a member of IBEW Local 104.
He was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church in Templeton.
His biggest joy in his life was being coach of his daughters' soccer team for the Gardner Soccer program. He loved hunting and fishing and the outdoors. He was an avid Boston sports fan, and enjoyed taking his daughters to many Red Sox and professional soccer games.
Family members, in addition to his father, include two daughters, Emily Wylie and Ashley Wylie, both of Templeton; one brother, Ken Wylie of Westford; four sisters, Janine Hybian of Nashua, N.H., Patrice Skinner of Hollis, N.H., Maura Wylie of Manchester, N.H., and Lisa Wylie of Weare, N.H.; one nephew and five nieces; and his former wife, Martha Hanright of Templeton.
SERVICES: Calling hours will be Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. in John H. Mack Funeral Home, 91 Vernon St., Gardner. A Mass of Christian burial will be held Saturday at 10 a.m., in Holy Cross Church, 26 Lake Ave., East Templeton. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery, Templeton.
