JOSEPH CLINTON (J. C.) HENDERSON
VIGO PARK - J. C. Henderson, 73, died at his residence Saturday, June 26, 1999, at 12:28 a.m.
Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Tuesday, June 29, at Vigo Park Baptist Church with the Rev. Gary Dunn, pastor of the church, officiating, and by the Rev. Rick Justice, former pastor, assisting. Burial followed in Vigo Park Cemetery. Arrangements wwere by Wallace Funeral Home of Tulia.
Mr. Henderson was born February 21, 1926, at Pep, N.M. He grew up and attended schools in Weed, N.M. and Portales. He lived in Portales and was a farmer.
He married Thelma Ila Mae Bethel on Nov. 15, 1948. She died on Nov. 25. 1959. Mr. Henderson married Frances McCollum Green on March 28, 1964, in Portales.
They moved to Tulia in 1964 and then to Vigo Park in 1968. He was a farmer and had worked for Swisher County as a heavy equipment operator for 10 years.
He was a member of Vigo Park Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Vicki Ellis of Dumas and Charl Green of Amarillo; two sons, Clinton Henderson of Vigo Park and Jimmy Green of Amarillo; one brother, Doyle Henderson of Tatum, N.M.; six grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
Memorials are requested to Baptist St. Anthony Hospice or Wayside Emergency Services Team.
