Joshua Kirk Moore, 37, of Moss Bluff, LA, died suddenly on Monday, April 30, 2018.

Josh was born July 23, 1980 and was a lifelong resident of Moss Bluff. He worked at J & J Tree Farms, his family business for a number of years and attended First Pentecostal Church. Josh was a gun enthusiast and loved his family dearly. He never met a stranger, loved to visit and get to know people and was loved by all who knew him. Josh truly enjoyed being a dad and adored his family.

Josh is survived by his wife of ten years, Jill Moore, whom fell in love with him in the 8th grade; sons, Jaxon King Moore, who was the apple of his eye for seven years until Jett Douglas Moore entered this world nine months ago; parents, Kirk and Carol Moore, whom he adored; brother, Jesse Douglas Moore; in-laws, Doug and Margaret Fleming; first cousins, Tori and David Hernandez and family; and numerous friends.

His funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, May 4, 2018 at the First Pentecostal Church, under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home. Pastor Jeffery Ralston will officiate. Burial will follow in Old Ritchie Cemetery. Visitation will be at the church from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Thursday and continue on Friday from 11:00 AM until the start of the service.
