John Morgan B. Yaryan was the 1st of 7 children of Jacob Yaryan and Sarah Bedell.
He came with his family from Union County, Indiana, to Wapello County, Iowa, between 1845 and 1848.
He married Susanna B. Harmon, daughter of George Harmon and Juda/Judy Whitmore on January 8, 1857, in Agency City, Iowa. She was born November 1, 1840, in Tuscarawas County, Ohio, and died April 12, 1924, at Knowlton, Iowa. They are both buried in Bethel Cemetery.
