Son of John Gary and Alma Fleetwood Capps Sanders. Sidney married (1) Cornelia Celia Bringle on August 30, 1964, and (2) Lois Jean Osborne on May 9, 1986.

SALISBURY - Sidney Carol Sanders, 64, Salisbury, died Sunday, August 22, 2004, at Rowan Regional Medical Center after two years of declining health. Born December 31, 1939, in Marion County, SC, Mr. Sanders, a graduate of Marion High School, was a son of the late John Gary and Alma Capps Sanders. He was a veteran of the US Navy.

Mr. Sanders was retired from KoSa. He was a Baptist.

Survivors include wife, Lois Osborne Sanders, whom he married May 9, 1986; a stepdaughter, Rhonda Jean Fink of Thomasville, NC; a brother, John Laurens Sanders of Columbia, SC; three sisters, Margaret Davis of Myrtle Beach, SC, Peggy Dudney of Tabor City, NC and Lorraine Stackhouse of Marion, SC; and 4 step-grandchildren.

Services will be held at 3 p.m. today at Lyerly Funeral Home chapel, conducted by the Rev. Chris O'Guin, pastor of Community Baptist Church. Burial will be in New Life Cemetery, Marion, SC.
