Margaret Louise Flanagin, 84, of Wichita Falls, passed away Thursday, May 4, 2023.
The family will receive friends between 6 and 8 p.m. Wednesday, May 10, 2023 at Owens & Brumley Funeral Home in Wichita Falls. A Celebration of Margaret's life will be 1:00 p.m. Thursday, May 11, 2023 at the Texoma Cowboy Church with Pastor Rob Stephenson, officiating. Interment will follow at Crestview Memorial Park under the direction of Owens & Brumley Funeral Home in Wichita Falls.
Margaret was born on July 27, 1938 in Wichita Falls, Texas to the late L.H. Harvick and Edna Lucille Carter Harvick. She married Albert Lee Pruitt in 1968. He preceded her in death in 1996. Margaret worked many years at the Glass Kitchen Café, and went on to retire from Bethania Hospital where she worked in Surgery & Recovery for 15 years. In 1998, she married the love of her life, James "Jim" Flanagin. Margaret was a member of Haws Road Community Church and the VFW Auxiliary. She loved painting and photography, and traveling all over.
Along with her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, James Flanagin in 2018; her sister, Barbara; her brothers, Harry Odom, and Jerry Odom; and sons, infant son at birth, Davy Lynn Colvin, Jim Flanagin Jr, Dennis Flanagin, Robert Flanagin, and William Flanagin Sr.
She is survived by her children, Sheldon "Sam" and wife Laverne Herring, Temple "Tim" and wife Kristin Herring, Harry and wife Bonnie Herring, Mark Herring, John Pruitt, Donna Flanagin, and James Flanagin Jr; her grandchildren, Sam Herring Jr, Brogann Aldridge, Amber Herring, Temple Herring Jr, Aleisha Clark, Jacie Pruitt, and James Einwechter Sr; twenty-three great-grandchildren and numerous great-great grandchildren; along with many nieces, nephews, family and friends who will miss her dearly.
