TONY GAINES Tony Irwin Gaines passed away peacefully April 24, 2018, at the age of 75.

He was born October 20, 1942, in Fort Worth, Texas, and he was a resident of Nevada for 28 years.

Tony was known as a very happy man, especially after marrying the love of his life, Yvonne Christman, May 16, 1980, in Texas.

In his younger years, Tony was a man that enjoyed life to the fullest.

He enjoyed sky diving,

boxing,

scuba diving

and dancing.

For many years, Tony and Yvonne were good dancers, so, together, they would dance the night away.

He and Yvonne also enjoyed traveling.

Mostly, Tony loved spending quality time with his family and friends.

Tony was a Maintenance Operation Supervisor at the Circus-Circus Hotel and Casino and he retired after 20 years of service.

During that time, he was also employed with Continental Hotel and Casino part-time as a security officer.

In his early years, he was employed by the LTV Corporation, where he performed tests on planes, ships and space shuttles for the government.

He was also a member of Trinity United Methodist Church (TUMC).

Tony's warm smile and outgoing personality will be missed by his family and friends.

Tony was preceded in death by his parents, Irwin and Estaleen Gaines;

and two sons,

Gary

and Lynn Christman.

Tony leaves to cherish his memories his loving wife,

Yvonne Gaines;

his three supportive children,

Jarrod Gaines (Kim),

Rhonda Lane

and Linda Lamury;

five grandsons,

Sammy Gaines,

Mike Lamury,

Dustin Armstrong,

Tyler Armstrong

and Austin Gaines;

three granddaughters,

Cherrie Hathaway (Ryan),

Nicki Cunliff (Michael)

and Lyndsey Gaines;

eight great-grandchildren;

brother,

ML Gaines (Connie);

sister,

Sarah Wilson (Joe);

and extended family members.

Memorial service in his honor will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 9, at Trinity United Methodist Church, 6151 W. Charleston Blvd., Las Vegas, Nevada 89146.
