She was born in Brown County, Texas on April 21, 1923 to Thomas William Moore and Kate Hinson Moore.
She grew up on a farm in Beattie Community in Comanche County, Texas but began school in Yuma, Ariz. before moving back to Beattie where she attended school and graduated from Beattie High School in 1940.
She married Willis D. Fisher on Sept. 18, 1943 in Fort Worth, at North Fort Worth Baptist Church.
She accompanied Willis to San Francisco where he was stationed with the U.S. Navy. After his service, they moved to White Settlement in Fort Worth, while he worked at Convair, now Lockheed Martin. They made their home in River Oaks before moving to Benbrook in 1966.
She worked for Pangburn's Candy Company. She attended Draughon's Business College and worked at Archenhold's Automobile Supply as a bookkeeper. She also worked for the Texas State Medical Examiner and Market Produce before working in the tax office at Castleberry ISD where she retired.
In addition to her regular employment, she and Willis worked in the entertainment industry as ticket sellers for many events in the Fort Worth area for over 30 years. One of their favorite ticket "jobs" was handing out student tickets to TCU students while their granddaughter and grandson were at TCU. They continued their ticket sales at TCU, participating in football, volleyball, basketball, and baseball events. Grace continued ticket sales until she was 85.
Grace was a member of First Baptist Benbrook for more than 50 years. She loved to sing and was an active member of the Senior Choir. She always looked forward to choir practice and to senior events at First Baptist. She faithfully served at many bereavement family dinners. In recent years, she had attended Heritage Baptist Church to hear the preaching of the son of longtime friends from White Settlement.
