Jerome Whitaker was born on June 17, 1956 to Rosie Winder and Willie Whitaker in Greenville, MS. He passed away on April 2, 2015 at the age of 58.

Jerome attend E. E. Bass High School in Greenville, MS and was employed at James Marine Shipyard Hahnville, LA.

He is survived by his wife, Tina M. Whitaker;
daughters, Laquita Whitaker, Kina Govan of Dallas, TX and Christina Cyres of N.O.LA,
3 sons, Michael Cyres of Dallas, TX, Lance and Joshua Carter of N.O.LA;
12 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild, 12 siblings and a host of niece, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Proceeding him in death her his parents, his brother, Leroy Allison and sister, Minnie James.
He will be missed dearly by family and friends.

Family and friends are invited to attend the funeral service on Saturday, April 11, 2015 at Charbonnet-Labat-Glapion Funeral Home, 1615 St. Philip St., NOLA for 11:00 am. Interment: Providence Memorial Park, 8200 Airline Drive, Metairie, LA. Visitation begins at 9:30 am. In the Family Center.
