A celebration of life will be held on 11:00 a.m., Thursday, May 3, 2018 at the First Christian Church 1326 N 1st St. Grand Junction, CO, with Reverend Susan Barton officiating.
Inurnment will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, May 4, 2018 at the Cedar Hill Cemetery with James Gall officiating.
Helen attended school and graduated from Paonia High School with the class of 1960. She went on to further her education and attended Mesa College.
On June 29, 1962, in Paonia, Colorado, Helen married Wesley Wade. This June they would have been married for 56 years.
Helen was a homemaker and bookkeeper for their business. She was a member of the First Christian Church in Grand Junction, CO. She also belonged to Christian Women Fellowship.
Helen loved to travel. She and Wes traveled throughout the United States, took several cruises and most recently enjoyed trips to Denver, to attend plays and musicals. Helen loved to go camping and jeeping in the San Juan Mountains and loved going on color drives in the fall.
Among her survivors are her husband, Wesley Wade, of Fruita; son, Bruce (Josie) Wade, of Hotchkiss; daughter, Debbie (Scott) Malson, of Brisbane, Australia; a brother: Allen Amsbury, of Cedaredge; granddaughter, Mindy (Danny) Tea, of Dallas, TX; and great-grandchildren: Lleyton and Deegan Tea.
Helen was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Chuck Amsbury; and a sister, Carolyn Amsbury.
