Rock Musician. A drummer, he will be remembered as a member of the 1980s British, New Wave band "Dead Or Alive." After forming in Liverpool, England, during the early 1980s, they helped define the New Wave genre and were often compared to "Culture Club." Fronted by lead vocalist Pete Burns, they released their debut album "Sophisticated Boom Boom" in 1984 with the Epic label. They enjoyed commercial success with the singles "You Spin Me Round (Like a Record)" and "Brand New Lover," both reaching Top 20 status on the American charts in 1985 and 1987 respectively. In later years, Coy played the bass guitar and keyboards in addition to drums. He remained an active member until the band separated following the death of Burns in 2016.
